You Need Traffic For Your Blog, Here's How To See It.
For those who blog, or write in online journals, keeping track of visitors can be a great way to see who visits a particular blog. There are many ways to keep track of blog readers when you blog. Blog hit counters; visitor tracking, referrers and keywords all can help you know if someone has visited your blog.
When you set up your blog, you will probably have already decided on the type of blog you will keep. Some web blog hosting sites will offer there service for free, but have a minimum of features. Other blog sites might cost, but will offer bloggers services to keep track of visitors. There are many reasons to track the visitors that read your blog. Understanding who visits you blog will help you know what your readers are looking for. Successful blogging starts with interested writing and will appeal to your readers. Another reason you might want to keep track of the visitors that come to your site is to increase traffic. This is especially important for blogs that are for companies. Companies can use their blog for inexpensive advertising. Knowing who visits the blog site will help a company understand if they are reaching their target audience for their services or products.
A blog hit counter is one way to keep track of the amount of visitors that read your blog. Blog hit counters are usually small boxes at the very end of a web page that updates a number every time your site is hit. Some blog hit counters can give site owners site statistics, reports and graphs to illustrate blog activity. These counters can also show you where your readers are finding your site. If your blog hosting site does not offer a blog hit counter feature, one can easily be downloaded or added to your page from another site. There are many free sites that offer counters for blog pages. Blog writers can register on the hit counter site, download and install directly into the blog template. This will give an accurate count of how many visitors you have to your blog. If you are not worried about keywords or details information about your readers, then a blog hit counter is the easiest way to track your readership.
If you want more advanced blog features, then you can add tracking options to your blog. There are several ways you can track your readers. One is by keywords and the other is a visitor tracker. Keyword trackers are ideal for those who need to know what keywords people are using to locate a blog. This could be important for businesses that need to reach potential consumers. A good keyword tracker can also help you organize your blog site to determine which keywords are most popular with readers. It can also help get your site listed on search engines. Keyword trackers can be downloaded for free in many cases. If your site relies heavily on readers, then a keyword tracker could be a good choice.
A visitor tracker works much the same way as a keyword tracker. The difference, however, is that a visitor tracker will provide you with information statistics about your blog visitors. Usually, this information is given in easy to understand graphs and tables. If you need to see where your visitors are coming from, then a visitor tracker can be quite beneficial. It is a little more sophisticated than a hit counter, but works about the same way. When a visitor enters your blog site, their information is saved onto the visitor tracker. When you are ready, you can log in and see exactly who your visitors are. Many times not only are you able to see the statistics on your readers, but you can also see reports for current visitors and those that have visited the site in the past.
One other way that a blog writer can keep track of their readers is to include a comment section at the end of your blog page. Not all visitors will want to leave a comment, but this is a good way to gain feedback about your site. You will better understand the type of readers that frequent your site, but also understand the kind of content that they want to read.

How to Start Blogging Without All the Fuss
Technically, if you’re not into the blogging fever, you wouldn’t be interested with this article. But if you are one of those who dedicated their life posting blogs every minute of the hour of every waking day, hop in, you might just be the next big thing the blogging industry has ever known. Start blogging without the tiring stress of dropping a sweat.
As discussed by millions of web sites, blogging is an art of posting an authored piece of work. A blog is a combined word for “web blog”. It can be anything you can think of. It is a liberated journal anyone can read. Anyone can publish it or make comments about it. A blog might be in form of formal or informal, humorous or sensitive. Kinds of blogs that a blogger can dig into are: political, personal, health, literary, travel, legal, educational.
For those who just got hooked and are having a hard time creating a blog, either in a form of a simple text blog, vlog (video blog), artlog (art log), and the like, this might be a boost.
Step 1. Find a Host. This would mean a website wholeheartedly ready to accept whatever you post. A first-step training on putting up your own blog. Make sure to find a decent provider. And how would you create your own jumping out of the conventional? That’ll be tackled in step number 2.
Step 2. Sign up. After which, different options and samples would appear or pop out giving you an idea on what your finished blog might look like. Personalize. Choose wisely. Choose creatively. Choose as if you’re painting your own picture. Don’t forget to include your personal information.
Step 3. Decide. A blog can either be private or public. Private blogs are for your eyes only and those who have permission and access to view it, while public blogs are created for everyone to view and to read. Therefore it depends on your preference if your blog’s a free-access type or a password generated one. Also consider the different schemes and layout. Edited blogs would look more inviting to the eyes.
Step 4. Adjust. Don’t settle for the ordinary. Pull the plug if it’s not working. Delete unacceptable styles and modify anew. To write a blog is not as easy as it looks. Your first few tries might seem disturbing because you’re trying to figure out how everything must work. But when you’ve familiarize yourself with how everything works, you’ll find the whole process vindicating.
Step 5. Upload. Read the instructions. Digest it. Copy then paste. Image hosting sites points out vividly the A-Zs of uploading. Update daily to establish frequency of visits from readers which is a vital communicating act.
Step 6. Tag it. An image tag would look something like this: <imgsrc=http://filename.jpg>. With the presence of a uniform resource locater or URL, paste the image tag on your journal for your photo to pop out. It’s not enough to paste your picture on your screen. Certain commands must be organized.
Step 7. Publish. Either send your URL to your buddies or to your website, it’s okay. Add your URL to other blogs made.
And that’s it!
The moment you get hooked in making blogs, you’ll find out the benefits. And you’ll realize that there are millions of people out there who are just like you.

How to Use A Blender
Français : Ingrédients pour la carbonade flamande (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
1. The first thing you have to do is take it out of the cabinet and put it together. In most cases, the unit is ready to use. You just have to wash the carafe and dry it before you throw in your ingredients.
2. For others, you have to place the blade in the retaining ring then set the gasket over the blades and inside the ring.
3. Next, screw the retaining ring firmly to the bottom of the pitcher. Be sure that this is seated correctly otherwise you will have a leak.
4. When it is ready, you must place the blender on a flat and dry surface. Set the carafe and the plug the blender in.
5. Now, throw in the ingredients. Close the lid firmly and then choose the setting that will do the job. For instance, use the ice or chop setting to make smoothies or other frozen drinks.
6. If you want to add other things like grate chocolate, use the pulse setting. This can be placed inside the carafe if you have a secondary lid so you don’t have to switch it off then on again.
Instead of adding ice while it is being blended, you can also use frozen fruit as this gives it a brighter flavor. Then you pour the drinks into glasses and serve it to the guests.
7. If you have to make more, just follow the steps mentioned. Don’t forget to wash it after each use using dishwashing detergent, add water halfway and then run the blender on low speed for a few seconds.
If you have to make more than 3 batches, perhaps you should get a bigger blended next time. Just make sure to use the right amount of ingredients each time to maintain consistency in whatever you are making.
8. When the party is over and it is time to clean up, rinse the blender thoroughly and take it apart before this is placed back inside the cabinet. Taking care of your appliances will make sure that they will still be working the next time you have to use it.
The blender is very easy to use and you can make other things with it in a matter of seconds. If you have a baby at home, you can make him or her food by adding a small amount of liquid into the cup of fruit and vegetables then blend this for a few seconds using the Puree setting so the food will smoothen out lumpy gravy.
So now that you know how to use a blender, the only thing you have to do now is decide what you want to make and then prepare the ingredients. For those who want to experiment, do some research online and then practice this at home. If you just purchased a new one, look inside the box because it may already come with an instructional book or even a video so you can become an expert in no time.

Searching For Information In Blogs
screenshot from a opensource search engine (openwebspider) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
People looking for an alternative source of information will find that blogs can sometimes offer a more in depth view or a refreshing take on current events. One of the major benefits of information from blogs, specially from personal, cultural and political bogs, is that it gives readers insight on the locals’ viewpoint. For example, although news sites can offer accurate information and report facts and statistics about important events such as the 9/11 attack or the latest Tsunami tragedy that hit Asia, personal blogs of people who were actually there or knew someone involved in the tragedies offer a deeper and more compelling insight on the events. Reading political blogs would also give you a chance to know what ordinary citizens of a country really think.
The downside with information from blogs is accuracy. Since most blogs are subjective, information garnered from the blogs can be lopsided and even exaggerated. Most blogs do write about facts but give commentaries as well. When reading opinions and commentaries be discriminating and do not believe everything written without thinking or checking out the facts by reading other blogs and sources.
One problem with extracting useful information from blogs is knowing where to start. With more than 10 million blogs online it is impossible to search for specific information without the help of a good blog search engine. A good blog search engine, however, will weed out most of the noise and point you to the blogs that contain the information you need.
To help you search for information found in blogs, here’s a short list of the best blog searching tools on the net right now.
• Google blog search – google blog search is the fastest blog search engine at the moment and returns incredibly relevant search results.
• Technorati.com – Technorati.com is the most established blog search engine. It gives back the most number of results and has the most features among blog engines. However, it can be slow and returns quite a number of irrelevant links.
• Yahoo! Blog Search – Yahoo’s blog search is a new feature added to its news search. The search result page is divided into two columns with the left column containing news results and the right column containing blog results. Yahoo! blog search is best for people who need current information but are not very particular that it be from blogs.
• Feedster is one of the oldest blog engines. One of its useful features is that it caches blog pages. Feedster would be useful for people looking for blog posts that have been deleted or edited.
• BlogPulse is a search engine most useful due to its extra tools that allow users to do things other blog engines don’t like create graphs and plot log buzz for search terms. It also has a Conversation Tracker that’s gathers related blog posts converts them to threaded conversations. This cool feature allows readers to follow topics they are interested in more easily.
• And to apply for a Blog Review and possibly win an award, go to Bloggy Award!

CD's In a Package
Jewel Case for CD (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Book (Photo credits: PB Teen)
The beginning of CD duplication was simple. You printed your CD and put it in a case that would make it so that it wouldn't scratch. However, the evolution of CD duplication has made the options for packaging worth looking into. You can now create a customized CD that will allow you to put together the perfect package.
Cases
Depending on your budget and your needs, you can get different options for cases. When deciding on a case, you will want to know where you will be selling most of your CDs, what type of protection they will need and what formatting looks best.
The first, and most popular option for cases, is the jewel case. This is a hard plastic case that has a thicker setting. Jewel cases are popular because it allows for panels or booklets to be put inside with the information that is needed. It is also known as the industry standard for musicians because of the extra protection and the ability to put more information in the case.
The slim line CD package is the second option and is usually the mid-line possibility between the jewel case and CD sleeve. This option allows you to place an insert inside, without the extra room. While it still has the outer protection of the plastic, it does not have the side plastic that is thicker for a title. If you need protection for your CD, but are on a budget, this is a good option.
The third type of casing is the CD sleeve. This is a simple option, which allows you to insert a CD into the packet. There won't be room to place a booklet or panel into the CD and the protection is limited by the one cover. However, this option is typically less to print and can be effective in preventing your CD from getting scratches.
If you want more options for cases, you can also look into the type of material that you use. For instance, jewel cases can come in a harder or softer plastic. You can also look into vinyl sleeves or paper sleeves, depending on the amount of protection you need and what type of CD you are printing. Another option is to get disk mailers, which are similar to sleeve packages, but come with the option of adding inserts inside with the CD in a sleeve on one side and the booklet on the other side. With this option, you can also choose to slide the CD in a wallet format or you can create a double disk that folds in with the package.
Inserts
One of the best parts of the end process for finishing your CD is figuring out exactly what you want to say. The inserts are your space to do exactly just that. Depending on the type of CD case you are getting, an insert can help you to put in the wording to explain your creation.
Inserts typically come in three different options. This includes poster, panel or booklet options. The poster option is a simpler format that folds out from the middle and into a full size. All of the information will be shown on one page as if you are reading a piece of paper, but then will fold into the CD packet that you have.
A panel differs because it allows for a formatting that folds differently into the CD. The inserts will overlap, one into the other. This allows for the information of up to eight pages to be displayed differently, with the most important information on the top layers, and the details on the inside. Many times, this option is used with only a front and back insert, but if wording to lyrics or more detailed information is needed, extra panels can be added.
The booklet is the thicker option to the panel, starting with an insert of 8 pages and moving up to 20 pages of information. A booklet will also fold the same as a book, with the pages all opening on one side.
With all of the options available, you can begin to customize your CD, depending on what type of CD you have, the format that best fits your needs, the information you want to provide and the budget that you are on. The result will be a custom CD that will have the packaging and details that represent you.

Blogging with Word Press
I only entered the blogosphere in late 2005 after realizing that I was missing out on an important part of the whole “online communication” genre. As I had been busy managing forums, web sites, and writing articles, I soon realized that I could firm up my two niches – aviation and article writing – by blogging on these topics regularly. With that in mind, I soon launched a pair of blogs and I am very happy with my decision. I selected Word Press as I believe that they offer one of the best blogging communities out there. Are you a blogger? If not, why not?
My decision to go with Word Press and not with one of the other big blogging entities such as Blogger, had everything to do with my having complete control over the site. Since I host with Powweb, I discovered that my web hosting company offers over thirty different software downloads for its members. Word Press and a few other blogging entities are represented, but I selected Word Press due to the recommendation of a friend.
Within two or three minutes of my download, I had Word Press up and running. In less than thirty minutes, I had the layout I wanted, although I kept the traditional template in place as I knew I wanted to work on my content first and on the design later. Next, I updated the links on my two related sites to reflect a “Blog” tab. In addition, I picked a few places within each site to announce the new blogs and I emailed everyone on my members list to inform them of my entrance into the world of blogs.
If you select Word Press as your blogging platform, you will soon discover that Version 2.0 was recently released. Because I am new to blogging, I haven’t yet updated from my downloaded version, 1.5. I want to first make certain that Word Press has worked out any kinks that may be in the updated version. In addition, not all the plug-ins you can use [there are plenty of them] with 1.5 are compatible with 2.0 just yet. Most are, but some still are not.
Beyond the update issues, I enjoy using the administrative “dashboard” which allows me to create each blog. Because I include pictures with one of my blogs, Jet Movements, I also have to make certain that the HTML I use to put each picture in its place [alignment] is exact. Word Press allows for you to do that.
In addition, I like the fact that Word Press allows administrators to schedule their entries. You can blog today, but schedule your submission to appear online at an appointed time several days away. Since much of my writing inspiration comes in bunches, I often will tackle several days worth of entries at once and spread them out over the coming week. If I want to later change the timing of an entry or squeeze in a separate one, I can do that too.
Word Press is current with today’s web standards and looks much cleaner and professional than some of its competitors. You can change the template over to one that is in the Word Press arsenal or design a template yourself and upload it to your site instead.
Yes, Word Press is designed to be set up through your own web host, but if you do not have a web site, you can get a free account through Web Press and they will host it for you.
Although Word Press is an “open source” community, meaning it is derived from and driven by volunteers, they have an active forum and many helpful links to assist you with building and maintaining your own blog.
Obviously, I am a very satisfied Word Press customer. You can be a satisfied blogger too whether you select Word Press through your web host or host your blog directly with them.Related articles

A second challenge is the time to blog. I run a $1 Billion dollar company so when I decided to blog I knew I needed to figure out how to do it efficiently. My blog is mostly about efficiency and time management; these are topics I study.
These two challenges can be solved with a simple concept. Copy.
Ideas to use when copying are:
1 – attribution. Give the credit together with the link to the original author.
2 – look for something you can add to. Blogs can be synergistic. Take a concept or part of a blog post and expend on it and give your opinions, insights or views. In many cases, this can start a flow of ideas that are enriched from the original post.
3 – You can use either the whole post or most usually just part of it and point people to the original.
4 – I usually ask for permission which has never been denied. After all copying helps the original author and garners them some readership. And of course never copy copy written material without permission (and most blogs are not copy written).
5 – The simplest place to find material to use to copy is by blog surfing although this can mean a lot of irrelevant material to filter. One source of free articles sorted by topic is www.isnare.com.
6 – In many cases the person you copy from will point a link back to you since it is flattering to them. Charles Caleb Colton said “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” (one trick on quotes is to look them up on www.brainyquote.com). These links to you can increase your traffic.
In summary, copying saves time and increases the quality of material on your site. It can even lead to traffic since in many cases you will get link backs from the original site.
