I love Romania

Preparing quick and easy

recipes Chinese style

Imagine this situation, you are at home during the weekends and you suddenly started craving for Chinese food. But then you remember that your favorite Chinese food that delivers is close during the weekends. You thought of going out and getting some Chinese food but the next restaurant is quite far and you just don’t want to make that trip for Chinese food. Now all this trouble might have been avoided if you only knew how to cook Chinese food. Knowing some quick and easy Chinese recipes can really make a difference.

Generally, the easiest Chinese food can be cooked in just 10 to 15 minutes. Most of the easy ones involve just stir frying the ingredients and before you know it you’re enjoying a hot meal with your chopsticks. What actually takes long is the preparation. Nevertheless, there are several cooking preparation tips that you can apply to make your life a lot easier.

To be able to cook a hot Oriental meal quickly, you should learn to prepare the ingredients before hand. For example, ginger can be peeled, sealed in a jar and place inside the refrigerator until needed and believe me you will need ginger almost all the time. It is one of the most used ingredients in Chinese cooking.

You could also do better if you have prepared the meat and vegetables ahead of time. Basically this means you are anticipating that you will crave for Chinese food anytime. If you like the food, I don’t see why this should be any problem. With meat you should cut them in uniform sizes so stir-frying them is a lot easier and they cook faster as well. You can cover the cut meat with a plastic wrap and store them inside your refrigerator. The same goes with vegetables. Wash, cut and store them.

I know that this is not an ideal practice but if you’re really out of time or you want that Chinese food really fast, an option for vegetables would be to use frozen and/or canned ones. You can find in your supermarket frozen vegetables that are already prepared for stir-frying. Canned Chinese vegetables such as bamboo shoots and mushrooms are also available in the market. There’s no substitute for fresh vegetables though.

Remember your sauce concoctions. You can use the same sauce recipes for other Chinese dishes. This way you save time from experimenting every time you cook. You can do a lot with a few tablespoons of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and even sugar. Or another option would be to settle with ready-made sauce or marinade. There should be several flavors to choose from.

Actually you’ll be surprised on what you can find in your supermarket’s shelves. There is an assortment of products which can make your cooking a lot simpler and easier. From canned vegetables and meat, to instant broths, marinades and sauces, you can have that Oriental flavor in a flash just by adding water, boiling or including the flavors in your cooking.

But one of the best tricks, if you find yourself in a pinch is learn to simplify the recipe. A quick and easy Chinese recipe involves simplifying your ingredients, preparation and cooking. Although, experimentation can indeed lead to some truly incredible meals, but when your in a rush and someone’s already waiting for their meals, it would be best to stick to the tried and tested recipes, at least for the now.

Quick and Easy Breakfast Recipes

Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. Since you are still sleepy from a good night’s rest, it is only right that you should know some quick and easy recipes that you can come up with in a few minutes.

If your kids love milk, then offer them something by combining milk with some cereals and fruit. To do that, you pour cornflakes from the box and into the bowl. Add milk and then slice into small pieces a banana or some strawberries and then serve.

For adults, you can substitute cereal with oatmeal which is quite healthy since it has been proven to lower your cholesterol. You can add with your bowl of oatmeal some fruits as well which are also good for you.

You can’t have cereal or oatmeal everyday so why don’t you try something else like an omelet. There are different ways to make it and the simplest one is to cook 2 eggs and add margarine into a frying pan. You can add flavor to it by also putting in some sliced mushrooms, onion and sliced sausages.

Once the omelet begins to set, use a spatula to push the edges of the egg mixture in. Keep doing this until you can flip one side of the omelet over the other one and then serve on a plate.

Do you want some bread for breakfast? Well you can by making blueberry French toast. To do that, you will need some eggs, milk, cream cheese, blueberries, vanilla and cinnamon.

Using a blender, beat together the milk, cream cheese, and blueberries until smooth then set aside. Using a medium mixing bowl, beat the eggs then add vanilla, and cinnamon. When you are done, add the blueberry mixture.

The last thing to do before serving is to dip the bread in the batter, and fry in a pan or griddle until slightly browned.

Another all time favorite is the waffle and if you want to add some spice to it, don’t just make any and go for the German waffle.

The ingredients for the German waffle include half a cup of butter, some sugar, egg yolk, milk, flour, baking powder, salt and gratings of lemon.

Now cream the butter and add the sugar until this turns into a cream then add the egg yolks and beat thoroughly. Next, sift the flour, salt, and baking powder together and add this to the creamed mixture alternating with the milk. Add the lemon peel and blend thoroughly then cook using a hot waffle iron and serve.

Pancakes anyone? Well try out the French Jelly Pancake. If you know how to make pancakes, we can already skip forward and move on to the best part which is adding the jelly. You have to do this while it is still hot and spread this evenly to keep it from spreading.

Next, dredge this with sugar and to make it look attractive, burn some lines around it using your toaster before serving.

Breakfast is important and fortunately, there are a lot of great quick and easy recipes that you can serve when you get up in the morning. As refreshments, always serve it with a cup of coffee or tea for the grownups and milk or juice for the kids.

Money Matters

Choosing a bank should be a well-researched project. Which bank is the best for you depends on what features and amenities you most value, as well as the use and frequency of use you plan on making of your bank.

Banks come in a variety of sizes. Some are small town banks with but a few local offices. Others can be found all over town, and even all over the state. Which you choose depends on what you're looking for from your bank.

If you're pretty much a stay-at-home, traveling a few miles to work and stopping at the downtown branch once a week to deposit your paycheck, then a smiling face that knows your name and asks about your family may be most important to you. Keep in mind, however, if that one branch you're typically going to rely on has severely limited hours and doesn't offer an ATM you may find yourself running across town whether you wish it or not.

If however, your workweek finds you running all over town, or traveling far afield, you may well benefit from the larger multi-branch bank, and the one with the most accessible ATM locations.

Online banking is available now with almost any bank, but not all online services are the same. To assume that because a bank is online means you have 24/7 access and adequate convenience is a mistake. Where one bank may allow you to transfer funds from one account to another and offer instantaneous verification of this change in balance, others will delay the transaction, or at least your view of the transaction, by more than 24 hours. This makes using online access to keep track of your balances next to impossible and it can aggravate attempts to use the bill paying and other online features.

Some ATMs allow deposits and deposit with cash back. Others are designed simply for withdrawal. This can make a difference if that long-awaited payment arrives in Saturday's mail and you're out of cash.

When it comes to making your money make money it definitely pays to compare before you make a decision. Savings and even checking interest rates can vary considerably from one bank to the next, as can fees. Some banks offer free checking while others do not. The rule of thumb has always been that credit unions pay better interest rates and are more apt to offer a loan. While this is not always the case, it bears researching.

Prior to launching your banking comparison the way to start may well be by asking recommendations of friends and family. Ask each where they bank and why. Ask them if they tried any other banks. Then head for the nearest branch of their first recommendations. Once you've been to one start with the others by saying, "Bank ABC offered me this. What can you do for me?" It may be that without that additional probing you would not find out all the percs there are to know about the bank you are considering. Of course, if you don't want to risk a "shop til you drop" you can explore each bank online, and by email, and then make your final point of determination - their customer service - the decider with a stop by the nearest branch location. This approach can save both time and money.

After all, isn't that what shopping for the best bank is all about?

How Much Money Should You Save for Financial Emergencies?

Practically every financial planning and personal finance book you'll ever read advises you to start an emergency savings fund, or rainy day fund as some call it, to meet unexpected financial emergencies, as one of the first steps you should take to build wealth.

Some advise a fixed dollar amount, such as $500 or $1,000, be set aside for financial emergencies. I've seen recommendations ranging from $500 to $12,000.

Others recommend saving a certain number of month's income for financial emergencies, such as three month's income, six month's income, or as much as twelve month's income.

Still others suggest setting aside a certain number of month's living expenses, such as three month's living expenses, six month's living expenses, or even twelve month's living expenses, to meet unexpected financial emergencies.

So...

With all this conflicting financial advice...

How much money should you save for financial emergencies?

Well...

According to Wallace D. Wattles, author of "The Science of Getting Rich"...

If you truly want to be wealthy...

None.

That's right...

Absolutely none!

In an article titled "The Constructive Attitude", Wallace D. Wattles wrote:

"... do not lay up for a rainy day. If you live right, think right, and work right, there will never be a rainy day for you. If you lay up for a rainy day, you will impress the sub-conscious with the fear of a rainy day; with the idea of weakness and incompetence, and so you will cause the rainy day to come."

If you stop and think about it...

He's absolutely right!

I don't know about you, but every single time in my life I attempted to build up an emergency savings fund, guess what happened?

That's right...

A financial emergency would pop up out of nowhere and wipe out my emergency savings fund leaving me right back where I started...

Broke!

Sound familiar?

Until I read those words by Wallace D. Wattles, it never dawned on me that, by my own thoughts and actions, I might be creating the very thing I was most trying to avoid.

Now...

Does this mean you shouldn't keep any extra money at all?

Not at all...

In the same article, Wallace D. Wattles wrote:

"... provide a surplus, so that you may take advantage of any new opportunity..."

Once I began to build up a surplus to take advantage of new financial opportunities, instead of saving for financial emergencies, guess what happened then?

That's right...

Lo and behold...

New financial opportunities started popping up all over the place...

And...

Interestingly enough...

The financial emergencies disappeared!

You see...

There's a Creative Power within you that makes your life into the exact image of that to which you focus your attention.

If you focus your attention on financial emergencies, by thinking about them, by preparing for them, by saving for them, that's exactly what you'll have in your life...

Financial emergencies.

On the other hand...

If you focus your attention on financial opportunities, by thinking about them, by preparing for them, by providing for them, that's exactly what you'll have in your life...

Financial opportunities!

4 Things To Remember When Renewing Your Home Contents And Home Buildings Insurance

Each year when our renewal notices come through the post for our home contents insurance and/or home buildings insurance, most of us automatically sign the form and send it back to the insurance company – after all, we already know how much the premiums are going to be. Big financial mistake, and here are 4 reasons why:

Did You Buy Anything New In The Last Year?

If you bought anything new in the last year, say a new television or video recorder, then the value of this new purchase will not be included in the renewal notice you just sent off to the insurance company. Likewise, if you sold anything of value over the last year, and have not informed the insurance company, then you are paying home contents insurance for something you no longer own. Either way, your not paying the right amount of insurance premiums.

Did The Costs Stay Static?

If you have home contents insurance then you are insuring your personal property for the replacement cost of buying the same thing new. On the other hand, part of your home buildings insurance should cover the cost of labour and materials. Now ask yourself, would the cost of replacing the picture hanging in your living room be the same today as it was last year? If the answer is that it would cost you more, tough luck, you’ll only get paid out what you said the cost of replacing it would be! The same can be said of your friendly builder, would he charge you the same for an hour of his time and for his materials today as he would have done last year? If the answer here is no, then you should be expecting to pay him the difference.

Did The Value Of Your Home Stay The Same?

Similar to the above, with your home buildings insurance you need to be asking yourself whether or not the value of your home stayed the same this year as it was last year? You need to be asking yourself this question even if you didn’t do any work to the house – such as building an extension – that would naturally automatically add value to your home.

Is Your House Any Safer Today?

Here the question is, have you done anything to your house over the last year that would mean your home would be considered safer today than last year? For example, did you add any deadlocks to your doors or windows? If so, then there’s a very good chance your home contents insurance premium would be reduced, as the security in your house is a major consideration in assessing your premium (along with the crime rate in your neighbourhood, so you may also want to check and see if this has gone up or down also).

Keep in mind that time stands still for no man. As such, you need to read your home contents insurance and/or home buildings insurance renewal notices very carefully to make sure that they reflect, as accurately as possible, your life today and not your life of yester-year.

A Guide To Land Banking

Land banking is a relatively new investment concept that allows smaller investors to own a piece of valuable land.

How does land banking work?

When large parcels of land are put up for sale, they are usually far too expensive for a single small investor. Land that’s in a good place for residential or business development is usually either bought by a land investment company or by a property developer. The owner then “banks” or holds onto the land until they are ready to sell it or develop it. During this time, they can parcel the land up into smaller, much more affordable section and sell these sections to private investors. Each investor holds the freehold to their land, and can sell at any time, although the best profits are usually realised when planning permission is granted for the site.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the land to small investors will depend upon the type of land, the potential for development and the size of the land. For as little as Ł5,000, investors can buy a good-sized piece of land in a prestigious location. You can, of course, choose to spend much more, and the land parcels are often graduated in size to accommodate a range of investors.

Is it complicated to buy?

Land is easier to buy than property. It is still a legal contract, though, so it’s worth getting it checked by your solicitor. The straightforward nature of the purchase means that it can often be completed within 28 days.

Can I sell it?

In most, if not all cases, when you buy the land, you also acquire the freehold. This means that you can sell the land on at any time. Most people hold on to their property for between 2-8 years, to realise profits from the development of the site, but you can sell whenever you want or need to.

Where do I start?

If you’re interested in land investment, then talk to a land agent. They will have a variety of sites on their books and have the experience and expertise to guide and advise you throughout the process.

Easy Recipes for Emergency Situations

You have loads of work to be done. There are your children to manage, a house to clean and a deadline to beat. Now somebody called up to tell you that they will be coming in for a visit. What do you do? How do you find quick and easy recipes that will help you get out of such dilemma? The best thing that you can do at this instance is do not panic.

Laugh at Yourself

You are only human and you are running a household. If you cannot find quick fixes with what you have left on your refrigerator, maybe you can come up with something from what is available. This is an impromptu affair. No one is expecting you to come up with masterpieces and meals suited for the royalties.

While you still got time, you must settle at your PC and try researching about the matter. While you are on it, try to picture the materials that you already have. You can start your research with what you've got. The idea here is to come up with something that your guests wouldn't know you had a hard time doing. You have to do the recipes in easy strides.

Drop the oven and other tools that may take quite a time to prepare. Settle for the recipes that provide you with easy mixes and simple instructions. You must collect as much simple recipes as you can. Print them out so that you can ponder a bit as to what you would like to pursue. Now that you have the recipes, you can collect your materials to help you select which ones are you going to make.

Who are your guests? Adults can munch on some salads with some bread or cookies that you have on your storage. You must make your salad taste good even though you don't have every ingredient in the book for the best one to be done. Now you can put those experimenting skills to a test. You can include the ingredients that you already have on your salad. You just have to make sure that everything will blend well and will taste great.

If you have kids coming in, you must also work on some easy desserts to be served. You must check your own children's stored goods to see if you can come up with easy recipes using some of their goods. If you have to prepare meals, you can settle for easy fried chicken that most kids love to eat. This will also be enjoyed by your adult guests.

Now that you have done the best things that you can, given the short period to be able to prepare, you can surprise your guests through the presentation. Make your simple recipes appear elegant by placing them on serving plates with decorations. This way, no one will notice that you hurried the process. They will enjoy what you have for them. This way, you can all enjoy the time you will spend together.

After going through such phase, you must learn from it and stack up quick and easy recipes that you can pull out in emergency situations like that. You don't need to be a good cook to be able to satisfy your guests with the food that you serve them. All you need is loads of imagination and determination to come up with the right material even at times when there is really not enough time.

Seashells: Artifacts of the Ocean

I recently took a vacation to the beach. I love the smell of the ocean breeze and the way the sun beats down on me as the motion of the waves calms my every worry in the world. I could literally spend years on the beach and never regret a moment of it.

One of my favorite beach activities is searching for seashells. There are millions of seashells in the ocean that come from a wide variety of creatures. They all look different and each has their own personalities that comes across in the divots
and impressions in the shells.

As I was looking for my seashells, I had a thought. The ocean is a vast body of secrets that has a story underneath that no one really knows about. So, in essence, each sea shell tells a different, but small, portion of the ocean’s story. They are
truly artifacts of the ocean that show what the ocean has been, is now and will be in the future.

Pretty deep if you think about it. Just like each person has a different story and a different set of artifacts that they take with them from day to day, so do the seashells at the beach. Each has experienced it’s own part of the story of the
vast ocean and has lived to tell about it. Making it on to the beach is its way of trying to get the story out to the world.

I kept thinking about this as I made my way down the beach with my collection of beautiful shells. Each had a different shape, color and texture and each was beautiful in its own way.

We have our own stories so in essence, we are like the seashells in the ocean of life. We each carry our own personal artifacts with us that are a representation of what we have experienced in our lives and we really cannot share our true experiences with anyone other than ourselves. Other people will see the artifacts on our skin and the laugh lines on our face, but they will never truly know our story, just like we will never know the story of the ocean or the seashells.

The point was not to be too philosophical, but to realize that people are all unique and we are special in all of our own ways. People do not take the time to realize that any more and when they don’t realize it, they lose a bit of their identity each time they forget about it.

So remember you are an artifact of the world and you tell your own unique story in the world, just like seashells tell the story of the ocean, piece by piece. People don’t feel like they are important enough and thinking about this idealistic notion will make you feel better about your place in the world and realize that we are all important in our own way.

All About Espresso Cups

True espresso drinkers are the ones who will be more likely to make a big deal out of the cup or drinking glass that their espresso is in! However, if you're an average individual who simply prefers the taste of espresso over other coffee beverages then you may not care all that much about the specific cups that your espresso sits in. However, in other countries besides the US espresso cups are actually thought to be more of an art than anything else. For example, in Italy and parts of Europe espresso cups are hand made. If you are enthusiastic about drinking espresso then finding the right kind of espresso cups is probably pretty important to how you drink the beverage. In addition, however, buying a set of espresso glasses is also a great gift that can be given to avid coffee and espresso drinkers. Here are a few tips that go along with buying espresso cups, though, that pretty much everyone should be aware about:

The Quality of Espresso Cups

The first and foremost issue that you'll want to be concerned with is the quality of the espresso cups that you buy. There are definitely all different types of espresso cups that can be bought, including sturdy plastic, glass, among other materials, but the best quality material that is frequently chosen for espresso beverage cups is porcelain. Not only have porcelain cups been a tradition throughout many countries down through the ages, but making the cups has been an art in and of itself!

The size of the porcelain espresso cup also makes a big difference as well. Traditionally, however, porcelain cups that are used for espresso usually come in 2- to 3-ounce glasses. This is not to say that you'll be filling the entire espresso cup with the espresso beverage, but many people like to add toppings such as whipped cream and chocolate shavings as well! Pouring about 1-ounce of espresso mixture and leaving the rest of the room available for toppings is what most people do when they have their typical espresso shot!

The Style of Espresso Cups

As mentioned, many espresso porcelain cups have a personal touch added to them and many people make a big deal out of the design that is frequently shown on espresso cups. There are all sorts of neat designs that one can choose for their espresso cup, but the digital age has truly revolutionized the way images are put on glasses and other materials throughout the world. For this reason there may be high-tech and colorful espresso glasses around the world thanks to some of these great pieces of technology! Nevertheless, though, espresso cups are traditionally bought with having a good design in mind.

All things considered, the materials of the cup as well as the design are two issues that espresso drinkers consider important about their special drink. Drinking espresso has had a long tradition throughout many countries in the world and part of that tradition rests on just how it is consumed!

The Beatles

The pasta

Pasta meals are pretty easy to cook. The pasta itself just needs to be placed in boiling water and can be cooked in 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the type of pasta of course. And while the pasta is boiling you can already prepare your desired sauce, whether it may be tomato based, pesto or cream based, you can be finished in now time. You can have a pasta meal in a flash, provided you know what you’re doing.

To those experienced in the kitchen, this kind of meal is easy to make. But to the novices might still find pasta a little daunting or troublesome. One thing that you should watch out when cooking pasta is the noodles. You need to test every now and then to see if the noodles are done. The pasta cooks pretty quickly and leaving it too long can result to soggy noodles.

Avoid placing the pasta when the water is not yet boiling. This will help prevent the pasta from becoming all mushy, soft and sticky. Also, keep the water at a boil at all times. You can help make the pasta firmer if you add salt into the boiling water. Note that you should not cover the pot when you already placed the pasta. When the pasta is done, take it off the boiling water. The pasta will continue to cook if you leave it there. With that, one half of your pasta meal is done. The other half would be the sauce.

The good thing about pasta is having several choices for sauces. Actually, at some point you will be stomped on what kind of sauce to make due to the varieties. If you’re a pasta person then having a couple of sauces stored in your refrigerator would be the best ways to go. If you have pesto, you can use that to sauce your pasta. Add additional garlic, some mushrooms or even Italian sausages and topped with cheese and you can have a good meal.

Bottled or canned sun-dried tomatoes can go well with pasta. I always try to have some sun-dried tomatoes ready since you can just pour it over your pasta and voila! A tomato based pasta without the traditional tomato sauce and pastes. Top with grated cheese and partnered with bread and you can have a fulfilling meal in no time.

If you want a cream-based sauce, just prepare some sliced olives, cream, oregano and grated cheese. Mix the cream, olives and oregano together with your pasta and finish off with grated cheese on top. A simple cream-based pasta but can be quite joyous to the palette.

Olive oil is also a staple sauce for pasta and can be quite easy to use as well. You can mix olive oil with canned seafood or slices of meat or sausages to create a sauce for your pasta. You can add basil for flavor and don’t forget the grated cheese. If you want to experiment, try adding spicy flavored meat or canned seafood. Spicy pasta may not be for everyone but still a good dish in my account.

A pasta meal in a flash is really just that. In a span of 15 to 20 minutes you would have already prepared a good, hearty meal of pasta in either tomato, cream or olive-based sauce. It is a quick meal that I personally won’t get tire off.

A Guide To Forex Trading

Trading money in the global markets can be great way to make more of it, it can also be a lesson in how to lose money quickly. More than $1 trillion is traded every day on the foreign currency exchange (Forex), and yet no centralized headquarters or formal regulatory body exists for this form of trade. Foreign currency exchange is regulated through a patchwork of international agreements between countries, most of which have some type of regulatory agency that controls what goes on within their respective borders. Thus, the foreign currency exchange actually is a worldwide network of traders who are connected by telephone and computer screens.

Although more international policing of money trading has occurred in recent years, authorities have had some successes exposing scams and frauds that victimize traders, especially newer ones. So if you want to try this wild world of trading, you need to be wary and not depend entirely on experts. Sure, experts can help you in explaining the working of foreign exchange markets and how the language of the Forex and its risks are unique, but you need a lot more training before you even consider entering this extremely risky trading arena.

If you have ever traveled outside the United States, you have probably traded in a foreign currency. Every time you travel outside your home country, you have to exchange your country’s currency for the currency used in the country you are visiting. If you are a US citizen shopping in England and you see a sweater that you want for 100 pounds (the pound is the name of the basic unit of currency in Great Britain), you would need to know the exchange rate. And that’s the way foreign currency exchange is used by the average shopper, but foreign currency traders trade much larger sums of money thousands of times a day.
