A Spiraling Market and Rising Penny Stock Opportunities
It's been a wild and wooly couple of weeks on the international stock markets. But is the recent slide grinding to a halt...or just taking a breather before tumbling some more? And more importantly, what does it mean to astute penny stock investors?
Wall Street recently stumbled to its worst week of the year, and global stock markets fell dramatically on concerns about rising interest rates and slowing growth. After rising almost 9% in the first four months of the year, the Dow Jones industrial average has fallen about 6.5% from a six-year high, reached May 10, 2006.
Stocks have been ailing because penny stock investors fear the Fed could be so focused on inflation that it ignores signs of an economic slowdown, raises interest rates too high and sends the economy into a recession.
Global stock markets were sent reeling last week after golden-tongued U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke shocked penny stock investors in saying the Fed will continue raising interest rates to keep inflation in check.
And that decision will have a direct impact on the penny stock market. Higher interest rates hurt penny stock prices because investors believe it will curb economic growth and corporate profits.
But why is inflation heating up? Higher energy costs. Traders and penny stock investors are also worried that with the hurricane season officially under way, Gulf Coast refineries and oil production sites could be damaged again this summer and fall.
And higher interest rates have the ability to affect the entire economy. Finance charges on credit cards will rise. So too will rates on mortgages and home equity loans, putting additional pressure on homebuyers and a softening housing market. Ultimately, it will cost more to borrow for expansion.
But does this signal doom-and-gloom for the penny stock market? Au contraire. While the temptation to sell everything can be overwhelming, some see this as a great opportunity. "I would not be selling. I would tend to be buying," said one New York analyst.
So how exactly is this an opportunity? It just so happens that many companies caught in the market's downward spiral are cheaper than they were a few weeks ago. And as any seasoned penny stock investor will tell you, buying a great penny stock when it's been beaten down isn't a bad way to make money over the long haul.
If you can stomach some of the volatility that is. While many blue chip investors have difficulty handling the market's unpredictability...it's par for the course.
So, "snap out of it," said another watcher. A month of dizzying selling has brought the markets into an attractive range. Is it possible the markets will fall more? Absolutely. After all, no penny stock is a sure thing. But one thing is certain: "Stocks are much cheaper now than they were two months ago."

Acest statut juridic de protectie plaseaza Rosia Montana inaintea multor orase prin numarul si valoarea monumentelor istorice si pe primul loc intre asezarile rurale ale Romaniei. Conform legii, protejarea si punerea in valoare a acestor valori instituite reprezinta lucrari de utilitate publica, de interes national.
Academia Romana, Casa Regala, ICOMOS (Comitetul International al Monumentelor si Siturilor), ca organizatie expert a UNESCO, Ad Astra, Alburnus Maior, ONG-uri din Romania si internationale, numerosi experti, institutii, studenti si cercetatori români din strainatate (RSSA, LSRS) recomanda si sustin includerea Rosiei Montane în Patrimoniul UNESCO.
Constatam ca rusinea de a fi roman si lipsa de reactie a romanilor in fata nedreptatilor a fost indusa de aceleasi televiziuni care astazi sunt complice la cel mai mare jaf din istoria poporului roman.
Va aflati printre putinii care au rezistat campaniei de dezinformare in care au fost angajate televiziunile, de aceea va solicitam implicarea nu doar ca simplu semnatar, ci ca militant, sa faceti cunoscut adevarul despre proiectul minier de la Rosia Montana. In urma dezbaterii, Comisia pentru Petitii a Parlamentului European a anuntat ca se va deplasa in Romania la inceputul lunii noiembrie pentru o ancheta asupra proiectului de la Rosia Montana. Va propunem ca pana atunci, doar cu ajutorul dvs. sa strangem 100.000 de semnaturi din toata tara, iar in preajma vizitei CE sa organizam de la Casa Poporului spre sediul Comisiei Europene in Bucuresti cel mai mare mars de protest pentru Rosia Montana, la care vom putea invita toti semnatarii petitiei.

Politicienii de astazi vor sa dea unei firme canadiano-romane cu actionariat american, zacamintele de metale rare si pretioase de la Rosia Montana in schimbul locurilor de munca. Participatia Romaniei in aceasta firma este de doar 20% si risca sa ajunga al 0,6% in urma ultimei majorari de capital, la care actionarul roman nu a putut participa. Statul urmeaza sa suporte cheltuielile de intretinere a barajului si a sistemelor de captare, monitorizarea emisiilor de acid cianhidric, pompare si tratare a apei pe o perioada nedeterminata, estimate la 12 milioane de euro anual.
Statul roman ar primi 4% redevente pentru aur si argint. Presa vorbeste despre majorarea acestui procent la 6% prezentata ca o negociere reusita, fara se spuna ca in tari ca Africa de Sud redeventele pentru metale pretioase sunt de minim 20%.
In cele 200 de milioane de tone de minereu care se doresc a fi procesate cu cianuri la Rosia Montana, se estimeaza a fi 1,5 grame de aur pe tona de minereu si 11, 7 grame de argint pe tona. Daca nu vi se pare o exploatare rentabila aveti dreptate! Motivatia pentru acest proiect sta in metalele rare care insotesc zacamintele de aur. Vanadiu - 2500 grame pe tona, arseniu - 5000 grame pe tona, titan - 1000 grame pe tona, molibden - 10 grame pe tona, nichel - 30 de grame pe tona, crom - 50 grame pe tona, cobalt - 30 grame pe tona, galiu - 300 grame pe tona, germaniu - 20 grame pe tona, wolfram, molibden etc.
Daca punem aceste resurse in context mondial, epuizarea resurselor de energie si nevoia dezvoltarii energiilor regenerabile, a panourilor fotovoltaice si turbinelor eoliene, descoperim ca prima criza cu care se va confrunta lumea nu va fi cea petroliera ci a metalelor neferoase.
Galiu, spre exemplu, care se gaseste la Rosia Montana in cantitati de 300 de ori mai mari decat aurul, este folosit in fabricarea panourilor fotovoltaice si pretul actual este de 900 de dolari pe Kg. Utilizarea lui va creste pe masura ce tehnologiile vor fi perfectionate si rentabilitatea energiei solare va creste cu scumpirea petrolului.
26% din resursele de cupru extractabil din scoarta Pamantului s-au pierdut deja in gropi de gunoi. Inchiderea minei de cupru de la Rosia Poieni pentru a se face loc RMGC a dus la disponibilizarea a sute de muncitori, de care oficialii Gold Corporation nu isi aduc aminte cand fac calculele locurilor de munca.
Din anumite informatii, in contractul de concesiune secretizat se spune ca orice metal in plus recuperat intra in beneficiul celui care exploateaza zacamintul. Falsa desecretizare trambitata de Traian Basescu nu a facut lumina asupra acestui aspect.
Turcia, Cehia, Grecia, Costa Rica, Germania, Argentina, Filipinie au interzis mineritul cu cianuri. Parlamentul European a cerut Comisiei Europene interzicerea acestei tehnilogi de minerit pana la sfarisitul anului 2011. Aduceti-va aminte de accidentul de la Baia Mare de acum 10 ani. Ungaria l-a considerat cea mai mare catastrofa dupa Cernobal. Statul roman are de platit circa 200 de milioane de dolari despagubiri.
La Rosia Montana ar urma sa se foloseasca aproximativ 1.561.000 tone substante periculoase, dintre care 84.000 tone de cianura in cea mai mare cariera cu crater deschis din Europa si cel mai mare baraj, inalt de 185 m. Ganditi-va la efectele pe care un posibil accident le-ar avea asupra Deltei Dunarii, un ultim bastion european pentru protejarea biodiversitatii.

You can help make the pasta firmer if you add salt into the boiling water. Note that you should not cover the pot when you already placed the pasta. When the pasta is done, take it off the boiling water. The pasta will continue to cook if you leave it there. With that, one half of your pasta meal is done. The other half would be the sauce.
The good thing about pasta is having several choices for sauces. Actually, at some point you will be stomped on what kind of sauce to make due to the varieties. If you’re a pasta person then having a couple of sauces stored in your refrigerator would be the best ways to go. If you have pesto, you can use that to sauce your pasta. Add additional garlic, some mushrooms or even Italian sausages and topped with cheese and you can have a good meal.
Bottled or canned sun-dried tomatoes can go well with pasta. I always try to have some sun-dried tomatoes ready since you can just pour it over your pasta and voila! A tomato based pasta without the traditional tomato sauce and pastes. Top with grated cheese and partnered with bread and you can have a fulfilling meal in no time.
If you want a cream-based sauce, just prepare some sliced olives, cream, oregano and grated cheese. Mix the cream, olives and oregano together with your pasta and finish off with grated cheese on top. A simple cream-based pasta but can be quite joyous to the palette.
Olive oil is also a staple sauce for pasta and can be quite easy to use as well. You can mix olive oil with canned seafood or slices of meat or sausages to create a sauce for your pasta. You can add basil for flavor and don’t forget the grated cheese. If you want to experiment, try adding spicy flavored meat or canned seafood. Spicy pasta may not be for everyone but still a good dish in my account.
